RAC's ability to produce large scale precision advanced composite structures is the result of a combination of precision CNC machined modular tooling, advanced repeatable out of autoclave prepreg manufacturing, and automated layup and processing which yield composite structures molded to exacting tolerances. This precision approach allows for modular, lean assembly processes that yield the same part, every time, with little or no custom fitting or secondary finishing operations. Quality and performance are consistent with aerospace manufacturing and are achieved while maintaining the ability to process large monolithic structures with minimal process risk.

The elimination of the autoclave from the process, and automation of the manufacturing of the composite parts allow costs to be maintained in line with other low-cost approaches to composites manufacturing that require significantly more finishing/assembly labor and part customization to build large structures. This allows RAC to strike the perfect balance between performance and cost, while meeting or exceeding customer functional requirements.
