Revenge Advanced Composites RAC Combatant Craft

HISTORY: Back in 1984 we were one of the first to adapt 3D Naval Architecture software originally developed for the Americas Cup to the use of powerboat hull design. The vessels that we designed with this technology at that time were built from aerospace grade advanced composites, primarily carbon fiber, using a mechanically impregnated wet epoxy resin system and fully vacuum bagged. The composites were fully cored using Airex® core. These early Revenge Yachts, ranging from 55-63ft, were capable of speeds in excess of 45 knots, and were extremely well received. These all-advanced composite vessels have operated without structural failure in excess of 15 years and over 10,000 hrs. of use. By 1996, newer materials that were available led us to believe that we could now use use high temperature, oven-cured, epoxy pre-preg's as a new foundation. This is a technology that was not adaptable to the marine field in the 1980’s. Four years of R&D led to the development of a workable process to build precision high strength ultra lightweight parts from oven cured carbon fiber epoxy pre-preg's. Additionally we also developed a rapid manufacturing process that provided a shortened build time with no sacrifice of quality or strength. We applied both of these new process's to the development of advanced Combatant Craft for US Naval Special Warfare, two of which are pictured below.

Now RAC is taking this proven military technology and applying it to where we originally started. This Next Generation Sportfish Series from RAC is faster stronger and better riding than anything that came before. With 50 knot plus speeds with twin MTU 16V-2000 you can comfortably cruise at 45 knots and as always we provide custom designed interior floor plans and arrangements to satisfy the most discerning clientele.
